Sewickley Motorist, QV Grad Killed in Two-Car Crash

The crash happened in Ohio Township on Lowries Run Road near the Green Valley Golf Course.

A Sewickley woman was killed Sunday morning in a two-car crash that occurred about 10:30 a.m. in Ohio Township, according to Ohio Township police.

Tess Raynovich, 20, of Sewickley was pronounced dead at Allegheny General Hospital, according to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's office.

Results of an autopsy being performed today are not yet complete, ME officials said.

Miklos said the two-car crash happened on Lowries Run near the Green Valley Golf Course when Raynovich's vehicle crossed into the opposite lane and collided with another vehicle. Miklos said Raynovich's vehicle was struck directly on the passenger side.

Miklos said wet road conditions appear to have played a factor in the crash. Allegheny County homicide is doing a reconstruction to determine what actually caused the accident, he said.

"Why it happened, at this point, we don’t know," Miklos said.

Tina Vojtko, district spokeswoman, said "teachers and counselors are closely monitoring students for signs that they may impacted by this tragedy in order to offer support and counseling."
