  • Police were called to the Sewickley Bridge at 10:15 a.m. April 13 for a report of the traffic light not operating correctly coming off the Sewickley Bridge. An officer sat at the intersection and watched two light cycles and found all the lights to be working fine, police said.
  • Police received a complaint at 9:15 a.m. April 13 about a truck idling for more than an hour outside of the BMW dealership near a Charette Place residence. She was cited for the offenses and given a courtesy ride to Heritage Valley Sewickley Hospital because of an asthma problem. Her car was towed.
  • Police said Joseph Sahrek, 52, of Sewickley, came to the police station April 11 to report that someone keyed the driver’s side of his 2010 RX Lexus 350, punctured a tire and dented the passenger side while the car was parked at a meter about 8:30 a.m. April 6 in the 400 block of Beaver Street.
  •  Police were called at 1:50 a.m. April 2 to the American Legion Post 450 in the 100 block of Chadwick Street for a report of people yelling and possibly fighting. Police found a party was letting out and some people were talking loudly, but the loud people had left before police arrived. At 2:38 a.m., police were called back to the American Legion for a reported fight between 10 to 15 people. Police learned the fight was verbal and there were no assaults or injuries. Police learned the party was for a person who was to serve a 27-year jail sentence and that all the guests were from the Aliquippa area. The argument broke out between some family members, police said. At 3 a.m., police said a 21-year-old Aliquippa woman came to the station to file a harassment report against another woman who pushed her at the Legion party while the two were in the women’s room and showed her two knives. Officers filed an incident report.
