Suspect in Burglary Attempt Will Stand Trial

David Jablonsky, 24, of Coraopolis has a formal arraignment in August.

A Coraopolis man will stand trial for attempting to break into another Sewickley business.

, 24, of Coraopolis waived charges to court Tuesday of loitering and prowling at nighttime and simple trespass to court. One count of burglary was amended at  to a criminal trespass charge. 

According to a criminal complaint, Jablonsky admitted to Sewickley police on June 10 that he tried to get inside  on Beaver Street because he thought there might be money.

Police said the store owner went outside to investigate noise and confronted Jablonsky, who fled. 

Jablonsky is also awaiting trial on  in connection with thefts at Maria’s and Yankello's.

Police said he distracted merchants in order to steal more than $1,000. 

He remains in the Allegheny County Jail.
