Beaver Road to Close Through Mid-December

A portion of road is being shut down in Glen Osborne as part of the sewer interconnect project.

Beaver Road in Glen Osborne will be shut down for about three weeks starting on Wednesday, Nov. 28.

The shut down will occur from Ohio River Boulevard to Sycamore Road and last until approximately Dec. 19.

Sewickley police Capt. Rich Manko said no traffic, including school buses and fire trucks, will be permitted to travel through the area during this time.

The road is being closed as part of the sewer interconnect project. Crews have to drill a hole under the boulevard and Norfolk Southern Corp. railroad tracks that will require a boring 40-feet deep in order to receive pipe.

“There’s no way to plate it at night to make it driveable,” Manko said.
