Get Out: Decorate Pottery or Take a Cookie Walk

When/Where: 7 p.m. Dec. 9. The Clay Cafe in Sewickley

Why Go: The Moon-based Trello Cioccolato will pay the studio fee for guests attending this event at the Beaver Street pottery studio. Music and food will be provided and guests can decorate pottery for as little as $4 per piece. 

Admission: Free.

When/Where: 10 a.m. Dec. 10. The Coraopolis Memorial Public Library. 

Why Go: Parents and children of all ages can attend this free event at the Coraopolis Memorial Library on School Street, where Miss Marge will teach the basics of crochet and knitting.

When/Where: Noon Saturday, Dec. 10.  Moon Township. 

Why Go: Mini-services, a raffle and warm drinks will be provided in this Brodhead Road spa's open house. 

Admission: Free.

When/Where: 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 10. .

Why Go: Sit on Santa Claus's lap or in a a fire truck at this holiday event. Proceeds benefit the Big Sewickley Creek Volunteer Fire Department.

Admission: $4.

When/Where: 9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10. American Legion Post 450, 20 Chadwick St.

Why Go:Pittsburgh artist Chevy Wood, who has opened for fellow "Black and Yellow" rapper Wiz Khalifa and is part of the Taylor Gang crew Khalifa runs with, will headline the show that also features Axe, Yung Swoosie, BMB, Murdocc and the HNR Boyz, the Dopesterz Club, E.dott, DJ Jaws and Hitt Em Hard Musik. DJ Goodnight is emcee.

Admission: $20, 18 and over.

Cookie Walk

When/Where: 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 10. .

Why Go:Attend the fifth annual cookie walk fundraiser and leave with a boxful of about 40 varieties of homemade cookies and the recipes, including ladylocks, buckeyes and chocolate chip. 

Admission: $12 for a small box, $17 for a large box.
