Work to inspect the Interstate-79/Neville Island Bridge in the area of the Route 65 interchange in Glenfield will continue this week starting today and last through Saturday, PennDOT announced.
Jim Struzzi, PennDOT spokesman, said restrictions will be coordinated to minimize impacts on daily commuters.
From 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, short-term lane and shoulder closures will occur as needed on Route 65, Deer Run Road and other roadways and ramps on or near the Neville Island Bridge.
Some restrictions may also occur on I-79 in this area as needed between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. If necessary, work and restrictions could stretch into Monday, Nov. 19.
Crews from Michael Facchiano Contracting, Inc. of Pittsburgh are doing the work.
