PennDOT Plans I-79 Guide Rail Repairs in Glenfield

The work will occur this week between the Glenfield interchange and I-279.

PennDOT plans intermittent, short-term single lane and shoulder closures Tuesday through Thursday in several locations on southbound Interstate 79 in Allegheny County.

Crews will conduct guide rail repairs between the Interstate 279 (Exit 72) and Glenfield (Exit 66) interchanges.

All exits and ramps will remain open. Work and restrictions will occur from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.

The prime contractor for the repairs is Penn Line Services Inc. Motorists should use caution and slow down when traveling through the area.
