Road Work: Sewickley Manhole Installation, Seal Coating Maintenance

Several road projects are happening in the area this week.

Logan and Beaver Streets

Work in Sewickley at Beaver and Logan streets continues today.

According to borough officials, all of the piping has passed pressure testing. The new manhole section is scheduled to be installed today, June 11 and expected to be completed by noon on Wednesday, June 12. 


Seal Coating

PennDOT is working this week in the Sewickley area performing preventative seal coat maintenance work through Friday, June 14. 

Work will occur on the following roadways:

  • Audubon Road in Sewickley Heights and Franklin Park from Magee Road to Camp Meeting Road
  • Magee in Sewickley Hills from Magee Road to Red Mud Hollow
  • Merriman Road in Glenfield and Sewickley Heights from School Street to Glen Mitchell Road
  • Lang Road in Sewickley Heights from Glenfield Road to Scaife Road
  • Roosevelt-Locust Road in Killbuck and Ohio Township from Route 65 to Mount Nebo Road.

 According to PennDOT, the purpose of seal coating is to preserve the life of pavement surfaces, reduce the likelihood of potholes forming and premature roadway deterioration.

Signs will be posted in the area. Motorists are advised to drive slowly over recently-treated roadways.
