Toy Donations: A Good Thing!

Q: Our kids have so many toys!!!  Christmas is coming and that means more toys and no more space.   Any suggestions?

A: When a client comes to me with this challenge my first thought is to discuss the option of donating.  The holiday season is about giving so it presents a wonderful teaching moment for the entire family.   Your child's used toys will make a positive impact on children who are less fortunate that live right here in the Pittsburgh area.  To avoid making this a traumatic experience, steer clear of their favorite toys and focus on the ones that are played with less frequently. 

Play it Forward will take your used toys and offer them to families in need. Simply drop off your toys to their storage facility by December 1.   Perrysville Self Storage is located at 133 Cemetery Lane Pittsburgh, PA 15237

On Saturday, December 8th from 9am - 3pm, each family in need is invited to take up to 5 toys per child for FREE ( location TBD).  The thought of this just makes me smile.
