Suit Up!!

Q: I am now a stay at- home mom with no intention of going back to the corporate sector. I have many high-end business suits that I will no longer need. Do you have any purposeful donation options to suggest? A: Here are a few wonderful places where you can donate your clothes which will make a difference in the lives of women right here in the Pittsburgh area.
 1.) Treasure House Fashions http://thfashions.org located at 8035 McKnight Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237 (412) 364-3256 This non-profit organization works in conjunction with over 60 agencies in Pittsburgh to serve women in crisis. The shopping experience here is designed to promote a positive self-esteem and outward appearance. The ladies that work and volunteer at the shop are a delight! All types of clothes are accepted and in- season items are preferred.
 2.) Center for Hope http://www.thecenterforhope.com located at 740 Park Road, Ambridge, PA 15003 (724)251-4899 This faith-based community center helps all family members in need with a variety of services including their Thrift Store. Center for Hope takes pride in the fact that they give a hand up and not just a hand out. In- season items and clothes for men and children are accepted.
 3.) Dress for Success http://www.dressforsuccess.org located at 332 Fifth Avenue #510 Pittsburgh, PA 15222 (412) 201-4204 This international, non-profit organization offers services to help disadvantaged women get back into the work force which includes getting them outfitted for an interview and the job.
