Osborne Elementary Pupils Win QV Holiday Art Contest

Fifth grader Kara Fleury's owl drawing and fourth grader Gwen Nace's hot chocolate scene were selected from more than 100 submissions.

Drawings created by two Osborne Elementary students were recently selected from among more than 100 submissions in Quaker Valley School District’s holiday artwork contest.

Fifth grader Kara Fleury’s drawing of an owl was selected for the cover of Quaker Valley School District’s 2012 holiday card and fourth grader Gwen Nace’s hot chocolate scene was selected as Quaker Valley’s submission in the 2012 Allegheny Intermediate Unit Holiday Artwork Contest.

Gwen’s drawing will now compete against submissions from the other 41 school districts in suburban Allegheny County. The winning artwork will be featured on the AIU’s 2012 holiday card.
