Football
1. The football team travels to nearby Cornell in Coraopolis for the first football game of the season. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. and Sewickley Patch plans to be there.

2. QV's varsity girls soccer plays rival varsity girls at 4 p.m. today at Quaker Valley's Chuck Knox stadium. SA's Panthers advanced to both the WPIAL and PIAA Championship games last year.

3. Sewickley Academy boys soccer team opens the regular season with a home game against Montour at 3:30 p.m. today.
4. boys soccer begins its season with the East-West Classic Soccer Tournament this weekend. The boys will have a home game against Fleetwood at 1 p.m. Saturday.

5. The Quaker Valley girls volleyball team opens its season at South Side Beaver at 3:30 pm today.
