Penn State Beaver Campus Seeks Center Theater Players

Reception planned to honor 30th anniversary of theater productions.

Penn State Beaver Campus is looking for former cast, crew and orchestra members of the Center Theater Players – formerly known as Center Theatre Company to attend a reception honoring the 30th anniversary of presenting shows for the Penn State Beaver Brodhead Cultural Center.

According to a press release, the Players was organized by Sandy Reigel, a resident of Center Township and Penn State alumna. Reigel, a lifelong resident of the area is the director and taught chorus, acting, and musical theater for Center High School and Central Valley School District for 25 years.

“My goal is to gather our current and former theatre company members together on July 28 to celebrate the work we’ve done through the years,” Reigel said. “Anyone who worked as a cast, crew, or orchestra member for any of our shows over the past 30 years is welcome to attend.”

The reception is slated for Saturday, July 28th from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the Special Events Room of the Student Union Building. The reception will be held prior to the closing night performance of the group’s production of “Jesus Christ Superstar.”

The show, which will also be presented July 26 and 27, will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Student Union Building auditorium.

Those who plan to attend are requested to make reservations for the reception by Wednesday, July 18.
