A new coach will lead the Quakers when the baseball season starts this spring.
Quaker Valley School District tapped Todd Goble to head its varsity baseball program.
Goble has served as the head varsity coach for Northgate High School since 2001.
“Coach Goble’s experience as a successful head coach made him the ideal candidate to move our program forward,” Mike Mastroianni, director of athletics and student activities, said in a news release. “Our student athletes will benefit greatly from his 17 years of coaching experience from two high schools.”
Goble has met with members of the baseball team and will be meeting with booster parents in the near future.
A resident of Moon Township, Goble is employed as a physical education teacher at Northgate Junior-Senior High School. He also serves as the varsity golf coach for Northgate and has previously coached the school’s varsity girls’ basketball team. He was the assistant baseball coach at Montour High School for five years.
Goble received his bachelor’s degree in physical education from Grand Valley State University in Michigan.
