Quaker Valley Soccer Standout Signs with Division I College

Dante Piccolo signed his National Letter of Intent and plans to major in economics and international affairs.

Quaker Valley senior Dante Piccolo will continue his studies after graduation and his soccer career at Lafayette College in Easton, PA. 

Dante signed his National Letter of Intent on Feb. 6 – National Signing Day and plans to major in economics and international affairs, according to the Quaker Valley School District.

A soccer standout, Dante was a four-year letter winner and two-time captain at Quaker Valley High School where he scored 35 goals and assisted on 39 others, while leading his team to four sectional titles and the 2012 AA WPIAL Championship.

He has the ninth highest career assists in Quaker Valley history. A three-time All-Section team member and Section Player of the Year in 2012, Dante earned All-State and All-WPIAL honors in his final two seasons. He also competes with the U18 Beadling Soccer Club, which is ranked second in the country after winning the 2011 and 2012 USYS Region I Championships.

Dante is one of seven players -- three from Pennsylvania -- who will join the Lafayette men's soccer team as part of the Class of 2017.

The son of Dr. John Paul Piccolo and Tamra Piccolo, Dante is a member of the National Honor Society, Distinguished Honor Roll and a Global Scholar. He also serves as student representative to the Quaker Valley School Board.
