Quaker Valley Teachers Earn National Board Certification

Two Quaker Valley School District teachers recently earned National Board Certification from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards.

Edgeworth Elementary teachers Andrea Croft, kindergarten, and Christine Jobes, learning support, successfully completed the rigorous assessment process, according to the district.

Quaker Valley School District now has 28 National Board Certified Teachers. That's the highest number in suburban Allegheny County, according to the district, and the fourth highest in Pennsylvania.

The three school districts with a higher number of National Board Certified Teachers have student enrollments ranging from 20,000 to 146,000 compared to Quaker Valley's 1,942. 

Jobes joined the  faculty in 2004 and has served as a primary learning support teacher as well as a class-size reduction teacher at Edgeworth. She earned her National Board Certification as an Exceptional Needs Specialist.

Croft has served as a Quaker Valley kindergarten teacher since 2004 and earned National Board Certification as an Early Childhood Generalist.
