Quaker Valley to Open Spring Concert Season

The first concert of the season is 7 p.m. Wednesday at Edgeworth Elementary School.

will open its concert season at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 18 with a musical showcase in the Edgeworth Elementary school gymnasium.

Under the direction of Christine Burgh, band and string selections will showcase the talents of fifth grade student musicians from both and elementary schools. 

Additional concerts featuring students from all grade levels are scheduled as follows:

April 23 – 7:30 p.m. Grades 6-8 Orchestra at  

May 3 – 7:30 p.m. Grades 7-8 Chorus at QVHS

May 7 – 7:30 p.m. HS Chorus at QVHS

May 9 – 7:30 p.m. Grades 7-8 Band at QVHS

May 14 – 7 p.m. Osborne Grade 4 Band & Strings Concert at Osborne

May 16 – 7:30 p.m. – Grade 6 Band and Chorus at Osborne 

May 17 – 7 p.m. Edgeworth Grade 4 Band & Strings Concert at Edgeworth 

May 23 – 7:30 p.m. - High school Band and Orchestra at QVHS

 

The community is welcome to join the parents for all concerts. Each year the selections of Quaker Valley’s music department are brought to life by the students’ talents and passion.

Matthew Boice, high school choral director, is chairman of the music department which includes the following staff members: Erik Kolodziej, Edgeworth; Stephen Donnelly, Osborne; Todd Fox, Lou Valenzi and Corrie Nye, middle school; Cory Neville, high school; and Christine Burgh, elementary band and strings.
