QV Clears Drinking Water at Edgeworth Elementary

The district placed a temporary ban on drinking water last week after the water appeared discolored.

have given the all clear to drinking water after discolored water was discovered last week at .

Use of water was  at the elementary school as a precaution until the water could be tested. Bottled water was provided to students during the interim. 

An industrial hygienist from AGX, Inc. has reported the drinking water was well within the standards and is approved for drinking, the district said in a news release.

The specialist tested the water twice over a period of two days in response to a district request, but didn't find a problem, the release said. 

"We took extra precautions, which may have seemed unnecessary based on the preliminary tests, but we preferred to have comprehensive testing to ensure that the water is fine," Joseph A. Marrone, director of administrative services, said in a news release.
