Royalty: Quaker Valley's 2011 Homecoming Court
The community is invited to attend the QVHS Homecoming Celebration Friday and Saturday.
Homecoming will be celebrated Friday night with a dance and Saturday with a day filled with athletic events, booster group fundraisers and activities.
Students will elect the Homecoming Queen by ballot. The queen's court is made up of eight seniors and representatives from the other three classes.
The 2011 queen will be announced and crowned during halftime at the Quaker football game Saturday night.

On Friday, a Homecoming dance will take place from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the high school gym. The dance is casual/semi-formal dress and is open to grades 9 to 12. All students and guests are required to have identification.
On Saturday, events and activities include three soccer games and three football games at Chuck Knox Stadium. Admission is free for all QV soccer games.
The middle school and high school cheerleaders will be cheering throughout the day as the Quaker Valley athletic booster organizations represent the fall sports.
Boosters plan to welcome the community to food booths, QV athletic apparel and accessory sales as well as community activities. Join in a basketball shooting competition or check the speed of your pitching arm with a radar gun.
The cross country team will be collecting shoes for Soles to Heal, a charitable shoe-recycling program started by a former teammate to supply resoled shoes to the needy. The team will be accepting donations of used shoes in any size and condition.
The hockey boosters will be tailgating and ready to share their enthusiasm for the upcoming season.
The student bands will perform between the two varsity soccer games and following the girls’ soccer game.
The day will end with the Homecoming football game at 7:30 p.m. between Quaker Valley and Washington High School. Continuing tradition, the homecoming queen will then be crowned during halftime.

- 8:30 a.m. - Boys JV Soccer vs. Beaver Boys JV Soccer
- 10 a.m. - Boys Varsity Soccer vs. Beaver – Senior Recognition
- noon - Girls Varsity Soccer vs. Quigley
- 2 p.m. - Midget Football vs. South Side Beaver
- 4 p.m. - Midget Football vs. South Side Beaver
- 7:30 p.m. - Football vs. Washington High School - Homecoming game
