Sewickley Academy Eighth-Grade Graduates Earn Diplomas, Awards
Students were recipients of 20 awards that honored leadership and academic and athletic excellence.
Sixty-eight eighth-graders from Sewickley Academy's Middle School graduated on Thursday, June 9. The graduation took place in Rea Auditorium, where the following students received awards for excellence:
American Legion Award - Thomas Mulholland and Riley Roberts
The Robert J Gray Memorial English Prize -- Janelle Sands
The Russ Weber History Prize -Pieter Hansen
Mathematics Award - George Saieed, Riley Roberts, Janelle Sands, Rachel Becker
Pearson Science Award - Hannah McGinley
German Award - Margaret Athol
Spanish Award - Hannah McGinley and Rachel Becker
French Award - Chloe Zack
Mandarin Award - Janelle Sands and Sarah Manzinger
Art Award - Maria Arbalez-Solano and Andrea DelGrande
Ceramics Award - Katie Maloney and Kat Goebel
Band Award - Charlie Balaan
