St. James Students Participate in Mock Trial

Students in seventh and eighth grades wrote the script for the trial.

Students from St. James School traveled to the Allegheny County Courthouse on Friday, May 10 to enact a Mock Trial in Judge Edward J. Borkowski’s courtroom.

Under the direction of Mike Manko, communications director for the District Attorney’s Office, the seventh- and eighth-grade students wrote the script for the trial.

The seventh-grade class served as the jury. According to school officials, the students did an excellent job and held their audience captive until the verdict was read.
