The big moment of Quaker Valley's weekend festivities came Saturday night with the announcement and crowning of this year's homecoming queen.
Quaker Valley Senior Harley Skorpenske was honored as the 2011 queen during halftime of the varsity football game against Washington. Scott Sommers escorted her.
Eight seniors and three represenatives from the other classes made up the queen's court.
Burke Moser scored a touchdown, boosting Quaker Valley into the lead by one point during the first part of the conference game.
Saturday's final football score: Quaker Valley 7, Washington 42.
