Fourth of July Fun at the Leetsdale Parade

Despite getting , Wednesday's Fourth of July celebration went off without a hitch in .

"We did very well," said Mary Kay Dschuhan, the fundraising chairwoman for the event.

Dschuhan started a campaign in June to start collecting money for the event. She personally sat at a table out front of the local location taking donations. The comittee also raised money from local business and going door to door.

The comitte was able to raise the funds to sponser the parade, music in the park, and at night. 

"People were very generous and the response was very good because people enjoy the parade. That's what it's here for," Dschuhan said.
