When/Where: 6-8 p.m. Friday at Wolcott Park, Sewickley.

Why Go: . What better way to enjoy a summer evening than grooving to the sounds of original salsa, merengue, Cumbia, Reggaton and other tropical dance music. 

Admission: Free.

 

2. 

When/Where: noon Saturday at Chuck Knox Stadium, , Leetsdale.

Why Go: You don't have to be a participant in this year's relay to join the fight against cancer. Show your support by showing up and purchasing a bottled water. Event features a survivor's lap at 5 p.m., the luminary ceremony at 9 p.m. and entertainment all day long. 

Admission: Free.


3. Festival in the Park

When/Where: 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Blueberry Hill Park, Nicholson Road, Franklin Park.

Why Go: The Community Day Festival is in its 27th year of providing fun for the entire family including inflatable bouncers, pie-eating contests, water balloon tosses, petting zoo, face painting and more. The evening ends with a fireworks display.

Admission: Free.

When/Where: 9 a.m. to evening Saturday at the .

Why Go: Highlights include a discussion about "The Help" at 10 a.m. and a free swim when the center's pool opens at 12:30 p.m. Events throughout the day and into the evening include vendors, children's crafts, a pancake breakfast and more.

Admission: Free.

 

5. Sons of Italy

When/Where: noon to 9:30 p.m. Sunday at the , Division Street.

Why Go: The community is invited to join the celebration on Division Street between Broad and Locust streets. Outdoor entertainment is free and dinner will be available starting at 3 p.m.

Admission: Free; $5 for dinner.

When/Where: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Big Sewickley Creek Fire Hall, Bell Acres.

Why Go: The annual spring sale helps raise money to support the . on Saturday starting at noon.

Admission: Free.

When/Where: 3 p.m. Sunday at , Sewickley

Why Go: Come listen as composer  performs his original Shetland-inspired choral and instrumental music he has composed over the last 12 years. Stout is music director for the Coraopolis United Methodist Church and works with students at  during yearly musical productions.

Admission: Free.

When/Where: 10 p.m. today to midnight at Patrick's Pub, 1207 Spring Run Road Ext, Moon.

Why Go: Come and win some prizes. DJ and music requests will be playing in between trivia questions.

Admission: Free.

When/Where: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at Walgreen's in Moon.

Why Go: Support the Moon 11-B Baseball Tournament Team as they host a car wash fundraiser to help have a fun and successful 2012 tournament season.

10. Lowe's Build and Grow Clinic

When/Where: 10 a.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at Lowe's in Robinson Township.

Why Go: Build a wooden project while bonding with your child. This weekend's build is the luxury assault vehicle from Madagascar 3.
