Leetsdale Parks Program Begins on Monday

The program will run 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday throughout the summer. The splash pad will close atl 6 p.m.

Summertime fun is just around the corner at Henle Park.

The ever-popular Summer Parks Program starts on Monday, June 11.

Paula Scimio, president of the recreation board, said the free program is open to the public, though children ages 6 and under must be with an adult. Children ages 7 to 18 may attend without adult supervision, she said

Sign-ups are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and kids can also sign up any day throughout the summer. The summer program will run 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday while the splash pad will be open until 6 p.m.

"We serve free breakfast and lunch every day. We have great crafts and games planned all summer. Our concession stand will be opened as well as the splash pad," Scimio said.

About 65 children attended of the summer program. Scimio said this year will be just as fun and exciting for children.

"We have a great staff that are great with kids and will make the summer days full of fun," Scimio said.
