Leetsdale Seeks Support for Annual Fourth of July Celebration

The Fourth of July committee seeks to raise about $20,000 for the annual Independence Day celebration.

Leetsdale’s annual will be here before you know it and organizers are hoping to raise money to help cover the costs.

Mary Kay Dschuhan, fundraising chairwoman, said she has been canvassing neighborhoods to help raise $15,000 to $20,000 funds for the event. She also plans to sit at this week to catch up with more potential donations.

“This event brings old-fashion fun and camaraderie to the residents of the Quaker Valley area and beyond,” Dschuhan said in a letter to residents. “Many communities no longer sponsor celebrations of this nature.”
