Newsmaker: Jeremy Hartzell

A member of the Komen Pittsburgh affiliate's board of directors since 2006, Hartzell is the new board president.

A resident has been named president of the Pittsburgh-based Susan G. Komen for the Cure® board of directors.

Jeremy Hartzell is employed at BNY Mellon where he is responsible for income tax accounting implications of corporate structuring transactions, including mergers and acquisitions. 

Previously, Hartzell worked as a senior tax manager at Deloitte Tax LLP and as an adjunct professor in Duquesne University’s A.J. Palumbo School of Business.

A member of the Komen Pittsburgh affiliate’s board of directors since 2006, Hartzell is a former member of the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust’s partner board and the Kentucky Avenue School board of directors. He is a trustee of the Ruth Hartzell Memorial Scholarship.

Formerly of Linesville, PA, Hartzell graduated from Linesville High School in 1993. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Duquesne University and his juris doctor from Duquesne University School of Law.

He resides in Sewickley with his wife, Colleen, and their two children.
