Pittsburgh Steelers Help Kids Shop for Winter Gear at Ross Park Mall

An annual outing for the past 10 years, Project Bundle-Up pairs the football players with children to help them shop for coats, hats, scarves and gloves.

About 45 children from the west side of Pittsburgh paired up with players from the Pittsburgh Steelers Tuesday afternoon to shop for warm coats, scarves, socks and hats at Ross Park Mall

Known as Project Bundle-Up, the annual outing is sponsored by the Salvation Army of Southwestern Pennsylvania and WTAE-TV Channel 4

The children, ages 5 to 12, gathered for snacks at about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday on the first floor of , where they waited for their escorts.

As members of the Steelers team arrived, the children posed for pictures and then were led to the third floor, where the players helped them pick out the warm clothes and check out at the registers. 

About $75 was spent on each child.
