Nearby: Pittsburgh Men Charged in Taxi Cab Armed Robbery

Police trace footprints in the snow to a home, where they find two men suspected of committing the holdup.

Moon Township Police said a Yellow Cab taxi driver fled from his vehicle after two men robbed him at gunpoint Wednesday on Cedar Drive. Police have charged Brandon Brown, 23, and Lynard Grace Jr., 23, both of Pittsburgh, with felony robbery and aggravated assault in the incident.  Police said the cab driver picked up Brown, Grace and an unidentified woman at 3:15 a.m. Wednesday in McKees Rocks. The group instructed the driver to go to Coraopolis and then to the Mooncrest neighborhood in Moon Township.  When the vehicle arrived just before 4 a.m. at the 400 block of Cedar Drive, the woman got out of the cab and went into a home on the street. Sewickley Man Charged with Assaulting Trooper after Route 65 Chase, Crash

State police say Gregory Omlor also fought with Pittsburgh Police at Allegheny General Hospital, where he was treated after crashing his car on Ohio River Boulevard.

State police said they charged a Sewickley man with aggravated assault, resisting arrest and other offenses Sunday morning after he led troopers on a high-speed chase and crashed a car on Ohio River Boulevard on Pittsburgh's North Side. Troopers in Moon said Gregory Omlor, 23, fought with and tried to injure Tpr. Andrew Reith and Pittsburgh Police Officers Daniel Stangrecki and Mark Pisano after his arrest early Sunday on Route 65, south of the intersection with Interstate 279. He is awaiting arraignment in Municipal Court in Pittsburgh. Omlor led police on a chase that began at 11:30 p.m. Saturday and ended when he crashed on Route 65, according to a report filed by state police. They did not say what prompted the chase. Hearing Set for Man Charged With Gun-Related Offenses

Tyrone Fuller, 31, is accused of holding a gun to a woman’s head and threatening her.

A McKeesport man is charged with aggravated assault and numerous other offenses after Sewickley police said he held a gun to a woman’s head and threatened her. A preliminary hearing is scheduled Tuesday for Tyrone Fuller, 31, on charges of aggravated assault, unlawful body armor, recklessly endangering another person, terroristic threats, unlawful restraint and possession of weapons. Police said the incident happened at 2:15 a.m. July 28 as the woman was driving the two on Route 65 to the Sewickley Legion. Police did not specify their relationship. Leetsdale Police Charge Man with Assaulting a Sewickley Officer

An Ambridge man is facing charges after Leetsdale police said he fought with police and assaulted an officer during a recent traffic stop. Leetsdale police charged Jesse C. Glasser, 22, with aggravated assault for kicking a Sewickley patrolman in the chest. He also was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, resisting arrest, reckless driving and failing to obey a stop sign. According to police, a Leetsdale officer stopped Glasser’s car Saturday after the officer saw the car run a stop sign at the intersection of Cross and Beaver streets. Sewickley and Edgeworth police assisted with administering a field sobriety test, which police said Glasser had trouble performing. Police said Glasser also tested positive for alcohol on a …

Baumgartner Preliminary Hearing Postponed Again

Sewickley man faces assault and public drunkenness charges.

The preliminary hearing for a 30-year-old Sewickley man charged with assaulting police officers and kicking out the window of a police car in a Wexford Plaza incident was postponed Friday.  The hearing for Eric David Baumgartner  was moved back to 9 a.m. July 15 before Magisterial District Judge Regis Welsh Jr. This is the second postponement. He faces two felony counts of aggravated assault, two misdemeanor counts of simple assault, two misdemeanor counts of recklessly endangering another person, one misdemeanor count of criminal mischief and one summary count of public drunkenness, court records state.
