Suspicious person Police responded about 8:20 p.m. Sunday to a home in the 700 block of Ohio River Boulevard for a report of a male standing outside with a gun. Police said the resident looked out the back window of the home and saw a male standing by a street light at the end of the driveway looking into the house. The man started to raise his arm and the resident ran out of the room. Police searched the area, but could not locate a man. A 42-year-old pickup driver is facing numerous traffic offenses after officers found his vehicle to be grossly overweight, Sewickley police reported. Police said officers noticed Robert McConnell of Grove City had a trailer attached to his pickup May 3 with an expired registration sticker. Police said the tires were also compressed and the trailer hitch was dragging on the ground while the front end of the truck was lifted due to the weight. Police stopped the man on Pine Street and police said McConnell gave a false name and birth date and claimed he didn’t know his social security number. Sewickley police reported to the following recent incidents.
A Glen Osborne woman is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with open containers, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and reckless driving, according to Sewickley police. Police responded to a four-vehicle crash shortly after 10:15 p.m. April 24 in the 700 block of Beaver Street. Police said Julia Perkins, 21, of Orchard Street, struck the rear of a parked car, triggering a reaction. The second car struck a third vehicle that in turn struck a fourth vehicle. The parked cars were owned by Eric Jarvie of Sewickley, Jane Stopha of Waynesboro, VA, and Phillip McCaffrey of Sewickley. Vehicle violations Police stopped a car at 1:25 a.m. Jan. 24 that was riding on a nearly flat tire with burned out license and brake lights. The driver, Jordan Lawson, 21, of Aliquippa, was found to be under suspension and cited for that violation and for driving with an expired inspection and emissions sticker. Police said a passenger, Brandon Wallace, 26, of Ambridge had a warrant out of Beaver County. He was turned over to the Beaver County sheriff’s office. The vehicle was towed, police said. Sewickley Police responded recently to Cochran Street for a report of three males exiting a red Volvo and walking into the woods with pipes, possibly for drug activity. Police said the descriptions matched those involved in a recent home burglary at a nearby residence. Officers arrived at 4 p.m. Nov. 8 and recognized the car as belonging to Nick Skoski. The vehicle was parked just beyond a Nevin residence. Police said Skoski, 19, of Leet, Maurice Haley, 18, of Ambridge, and John Berger, 19, of Leet, were also seen in the woods behind a residence. Police ordered the three to approach and took them into custody on trespass charges. During a search, police found Skoski with marijuana and rolling papers. Police also said Berger had a glass …
