Conservative talk show host and author Glenn Beck will be at the Costco in Cranberry today to sign copies of his new book, Agenda 21. Set in the future, Agenda 21 is the tale of a United Nations program that leads to an authoritarian state. The nation is no longer known as America, but as “the Republic.” There is “No president. No Congress. No Supreme Court. No freedom,” according to a description on Beck’s website. “There are only the Authorities.” Although fictional, the novel is based on an actual program—also called Agenda 21—created by the UN that deals with sustainable development and human impacts on the environment.
