Brunch? Lunch? Dinner? No matter what meal you choose, the real question is: Where will you go?
With Mother's Day on May 13 fastly approaching, we're looking for the best place in the Sewickley Patch to treat mom to a well-deserving meal. This can be any place you think mom would enjoy. Also, we're doing voting a little differently this week. Instead of having a "clicking-style" poll on Thursday, voting begins today. Feel free to comment on this article or browse Patch's directory to leave a positive review for your top choice. The establishment with the most positive comments by Friday afternoon will be deemed the winner. So ... get commenting, and thanks for playing!

The French-inspired restaurant in Sewickley dishes up French and American favorites.
Whether it's crepes and eggs or French toast and quiche, this French-style café is a favorite when it comes to serving up brunch. Cafe Des Amis was named the winner of this week’s poll asking readers to tell us which restaurant in the Sewickley area serves up the best brunch. The restaurant has a menu filled with choices, from French toast, breakfast croissants to sandwiches, roasted chicken and Brie and other French delicacies and American favorites. Being no stranger to winning recipes, the restaurant also recently earned top prize for its Sweet Potato Chorizo soup in the Sewickley Soup Crawl. Cafe Des Amis received 50 percent of the Readers' Choice votes and positive feedback, which made them this week's winner. In a tie for second …

Sewickley Patch picked a great restaurant in town or nearby worth checking out.
You could stand on a corner and look around until a restaurant sign draws you in. But we've got a better idea. Each week, Sewickley Patch picks a great restaurant either in town or nearby that is worth checking out. Here's this week's choice: Sewickley Hotel -- There's something appealing about a restaurant that serves quality food and fine spirits, but still feels down-home and comfortable in a tavern setting. That's the Sewickley Hotel, a local staple built in the early 189os. The menu lists an array of mouth-watering selections, American cuisine with French influences. If you have trouble choosing, for lunch start with a cup of Cajun Turtle Soup, then try the Asian-Inspired Ahi Tuna. For dinner, try the Hotel Premium Kobe Burger or the …
