No Injuries in Quaker Valley School Bus Crash in Edgeworth

A school bus carrying Quaker Valley students colides with a car on Little Sewickley Creek Road.

A school bus carrying 16 Quaker Valley middle and high school students was involved in an accident on Little Sewickley Creek Road in Edgeworth. The two-vehicle crash happened around 3 p.m. today when a female driver ended up on the wrong side of the road and her car collided with the bus. Edgeworth police said the bus driver noticed the car, driven by Nancy Carson of Sewickley, edging over the center line. The bus came almost to a complete stop when the car came around and struck the bus, police said. Had the bus driver not stopped, police said the accident could have been more serious.  Neither Carson nor the bus driver was injured, police said. Cochran Hose Fire Co. also responded.  Quaker Valley spokeswoman Tina Vojtko said no one was …

No Injuries in Quaker Valley School Bus Crash

Sewickley police cited Kyleigh Abraham, 24, of Baden, with failing to obey traffic signals.

A car collided Monday morning with a Quaker Valley school bus carrying 20 students to Osborne Elementary School, according to Sewickley borough police. The bus driver, John Dobrzanski, told police he was traveling south at 7:50 a.m. on Beaver Street and had the green light when a Chevy Cobalt that Kyleigh Abraham, 24, of Baden, was driving went through the intersection at Broad Street and in front of the bus. Police said the mechanical arm deflector on the front of the bus struck the bumper on Abraham’s car, causing her vehicle to spin. Police said the car came to a stop in the opposite lane, facing the wrong direction. Abraham told officers she couldn’t remember what color the traffic light was, police said.
