Motorists can expect traffic shifts and lane restrictions Friday on Route 65 in Emsworth, PennDOT announced. Jim Struzzi, PennDOT spokesman, said crews from Duquesne Light will be installing a pole between Camp Horne Road and Beaver Road. The short-term restrictions will occur from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday along with delays and changing traffic patterns. The $2.9 million project includes replacement of the existing single span through-girder bridge over Lowries Run, approach work, and other miscellaneous construction between Locust Street and Beaver Avenue. Lane Construction Co. of Pittsburgh is the prime contractor, with overall work expected to be completed this fall. About 20,000 vehicles use Route 65 in this area on an average day.
