Sewickley Children's Store Having Closing Sale

The owner of Pink & Blue, a children's clothing and accessories store, plans to close by the end of the month.

Kelsey Rhea spent the past year operating Pink & Blue in Sewickley. The owner said Thursday that the children's clothing boutique at the corner of Beaver and Broad streets is now slated to close.  The boutique is currently offering a sale on all merchandise in the store. Rhea said purchases of $50 or more will receive an additional 30 percent off. Rhea said going from a stay-at-home mom to a full-time business owner has been tough. Now that she's coming up on a year, she felt now was the right time. She plans to close by the end of the month. Goodbye to Bailey & Bailey

Open since 1995, retiring owners of the Sewickley boutique plan to close shop Friday.

At the end of September the doors to a Sewickley staple will be closing for good. While lovely crops of new shops are popping up everywhere, it is always sad to see an old favorite go. At the same time it is a happy new beginning for the storeowners. The ladies at Bailey & Bailey are moving into retirement and getting to begin a whole new chapter of their lives. One could always find designer denim, the perfect pant, charming accessories, literally everything from a basic tee to evening wear. Swoon-worthy names graced every space in the shop. The trademark fashion drawings that graced their ads, invitations and store…

Because Pittsburgh has often been behind the curve when it comes to high-end fashion, it’s a treat to be able to at least look at beautiful clothes, even when I can’t necessarily afford them.  Bailey & Bailey owners Holly Miller and Elsa Cabiya have giving shoppers access to designer brands that no other Pittsburgh stores sell, and they've kept customers coming back for 20 years. Over the years, …

I also will miss Bailey and Bailey! I too rarely was able to afford to purchase many of the things I coveted. Since it opened I would save up and splurge on occasion. I still have my first purchase/splurge item, the woven bag I bought one summer in high school (nearly 17 years ago now) with my piggy bank money. Best wishes to the owners and thank you for being so funky and chic all these years. …   more ›
