Grand Openings Welcome Sidelines, Cocothé to Sewickley

A ribbon cutting for Cocothé took place Thursday followed by a grand opening celebration for Sidelines today.

Standing outside the Sidelines Beer House, Sewickley Mayor Brian Jeffe presided over his second ribbon cutting in just two days. A grand opening for Sidelines took place at noon Friday, a day after a ribbon cuting was held Thursday at Cocothé on Beaver Street. On Thursday, Cocothé, a French-inspired shop, owned by Courtney Yatesheld a grand opening party in the shop at 541 Beaver St. The shop sells have gourmet, organic, natural and unique flavors of chocolate, and various kinds of loose leaf teas.  Today, staff stood outside 518 Locust Place alongside owner Bob Miller and executive chef Brad Murray to celebrate the grand opening of the new neighborhood bar, which serves 200 kinds of beer and "bar food with a flair." Premium Chocolate and Tea Shop to Open in Sewickley

Company plans to open Cocothé on Beaver Street in February.

A gourmet chocolate and tea store is scheduled to open in the Village of Sewickley just in time for Valentine’s Day. Aficionados of chocolate and fine teas will welcome Cocothé, a French-inspired shop opening soon at 541 Beaver St. “We’ll have gourmet, organic, natural and unique flavors of chocolate,” said Courtney Yates, managing partner of New Mexico-based Los Payasos. She said a wide range of teas will also be sold. Renovations are under way at 541 Beaver St., which Los Payasos purchased in December along with the property at 545 Beaver St., according to Allegheny County assessment records. Los Payasos is seeking to combine the two properties, which were subdivided in 1998. At Yates' request, the borough planning commission Tuesday …
