9-Year-Old Special Needs Boy Who Fell From Second Story Window in Stable Condition

The boy was transported by medical helicopter to Pittsburgh.

The 9-year-old special needs boy who was injured when he fell from a second-floor window of his home in Cranberry Township is in stable conditon. Sgt. Chuck Mascellino, of Cranberry police, said the boy was alone in his bedroom on Eden Way Court when fell from the window at about 7 a.m. Friday and landed in the home's driveway. Both parents were home at the time. When emergency responders arrived at the home, the boy was semi-conscious, Mascellino said. The child was rushed to UPMC Passavant in Cranberry before being flown by medical helicopter to Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh. "The child is considered stable, but being closely monitored," Mascellino said. There is no further information on the boy's injuries as of Friday afternoon, …

'Bachelor Bob,' Designers Meet with Fans For Re-Airing of Showhouse Showdown

The meet-and-greet takes place in Cranberry Township's Mystic Ridge neighborhood.

Fans of HGTV’s Showhouse Showdown got another chance to dish with host Bob Guiney and the show’s designers Friday during a special re-airing of the Cranberry episode. In August, HGTV and Stone & Co. Entertainment partnered with Pittsburgh’s Heartland Homes to film an episode at the Mystic Ridge development in Cranberry Township. The show also filmed in September in the Edgewater at Oakmont neighborhood. On Friday, designers Alisha Gwen, of Shadyside, and Philadelphia-based Joe Berkowitz reteamed with former Bachelor Bob Guiney at the Mystic Ridge model home to talk with fans. The show featured the designers adding their touches to two newly-built homes with mirror-image floor plans. Area residents then toured the home and cast their votes …
