The following people were charged and scheduled for preliminary hearings April 23 at District Judge Robert Ford's office in Leetsdale: Held for Court Chuck Nacke, 55, of Franklin Park, charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. Franklin Park police reported officers received a report Feb. 5 that Nacke was trying to leave a bar on Brandt School Road and drive home while intoxicated. Police said officers found Nacke at home slouched over the driver's seat of his vehicle, which was parked in his garage. The vehicle was off, but was still mking a ticking sound from being driven. Police reported a blood-alcohol content of 0.239 percent. Waived Keith Stewart, 66, of Franklin Park, charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. …

A Pittsburgh man recently waived two charges of receiving stolen property accused of pawning a stolen $5,000 tennis bracelet and $100 necklace. Franklin Park police said Bartley B. Bailey, 56, of Perrysville Avenue, Pittsburgh, accepted the two pieces of stolen jewelry from friend Jeffrey Masartis. Masartis admitted to police Dec. 14 that he took the items from a Franklin Park home on Lindenwood Drive where he was working as a painter, police said. Police said Bailey pawned the $5,000 diamond tennis bracelet at Coin Exchange in Pittsburgh and received $500. He also pawned a $100 10-carat necklace with a cross for $57.50. Police said a man walked down the middle of the Sewickley Bridge while carrying the drugs cocaine and Ecstasy.
A man charged with carrying cocaine and Ecstasy in his pocket while walking down the middle of the Sewickley Bridge will face a preliminary hearing today in Leetsdale District Court. James C. Bulger, 38, of Sewickley, was found walking down the center of the Sewickley Bridge at 3 a.m. towards Moon Township, according to a criminal complaint filed by Sewickley Police. When stopped by police, Bulger said he was walking to his home on Chestnut Road—located in the opposite direction of where Bulger was headed. Bulger, who had urinated himself before police arrived, was found carrying a sandwich bag containing cocaine and several MDMA pills, also known as Ecstasy. Brian Flesher faces burglary, theft, receiving stolen property and criminal conspiracy charges.
When Brian Flesher met with police at the beginning of December, he told them he wanted to get everything out in the open so he could begin to get help for his drug addiction, according to a criminal complaint. "Everything" included burglaries at homes and a business in Franklin Park, McCandless, Ross, Pine, and Ohio townships, court documents state. The 26-year-old Pittsburgh man also told police he had a partner in some of the crimes—Garrett Lucas, 24, of Pittsburgh—who served as a lookout, according to the criminal complaints. Lucas also faces charges. Flesher now faces a multitude of burglary, theft, receiving stolen property and criminal conspiracy charges. A Center Township woman will stand trial on heroin possession and other charges. Charges against Alyssa Rossi, 29, were waived to Allegheny County Court, including possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under the influence. Sewickley police reported officers saw Rossi’s vehicle speeding Oct. 24 on Route 65 and crossing into the opposing lanes. Police discovered a spoon, three needles and 15 stamp bags of heroin during a search of the car. Rossi was taken to Heritage Valley Sewickley hospital for a blood-alcohol test. A Leetsdale man accused of hitting a woman in the face waived the charges to Allegheny County Court. David Eiler, 30, of Broad Street, recently appeared in Leetsdale District Court on charges of simple assault, harassment and recklessly endangering another person. According to Leetsdale police, Eiler argued with a woman on Nov. 26 before striking her in the face. Police said the woman was bleeding from her face and hand, and was transported by Valley Ambulance to Heritage Valley Sewickley Hospital. Officers checked the home for Eiler, but he fled, police said. Police seized a sword belonging to Eiler, who is prohibited from possessing a weapon due to an active protection-from-abuse order on another person. The following people were also …

A Sewickley Hills man accused of stealing from his neighbor’s home and his landlord’s house waived the charges to court. David Lewandowski, 33, of Hilltop Lane, was in Leetsdale District Court last week to face three counts of burglary and criminal trespass, and two counts of theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property. Sewickley Heights and Ohio Township police charged him in connection to home burglaries in the Heights and Sewickley Hills. Ohio police said Lewandowski stole jewelry and $1,000 in cash from his neighbor‘s home in Sewickley Hills. Charges have been waived against a Franklin Park couple accused of cashing stolen checks. Stephanie McNickel, 35, is charged with forgery, theft and receiving stolen property and her husband, Shawn McNickel, 34, is charged with access device fraud. Franklin Park police said Stephanie McNickel stole checks from a home and told her husband, Shawn McNickel, the checks were a blessing. Two of the checks were forged for a total of $410. Police said McNickel used his mother's bank card to cash one of the checks. He told police he was unaware the check was stolen, police said. Timothy Sepella and Joseph Stickles are accused of cashing stolen checks from the Leetsdale employment business.
Two Beaver County men accused of cashing stolen checks from Labor Ready will stand trial. Joseph Stickles, 39, of Hopewell Township, waived three counts of bad checks and one count each of theft and receiving stolen property to court. Timothy Sepella, 28, of Ambridge, waived eight counts of writing bad checks, and one count each of forgery and theft. Leetsdale police said Sepella stole checks from Labor Ready, where he previously worked in the office, and used an old typewriter to issue three checks to Stickles and eight to himself. Police said a total of $2,922 in checks were forged. Labor Ready became aware of the theft in June after all of the checks bounced, police said. Both men have been ordered to repay the money within 90 days…
