Get Ready for Sewickley Light Up Night 2012
The annual Light Up Night in Sewickley marks the beginning of the holiday festivities, as Yuletide in Sewickley continues Wednesdays and Saturdays through Dec. 22.
Sewickley will kick off the holiday season from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30 with the annual Light Up Night celebration. Jennifer Markus of Village Green Partners said there are more highlights to this year’s festivities than in years past. Attendees can again look forward to a street filled with vendors, but this year Markus said there will be even more vendors plus seating for those wishing to eat or rest. Highlights include the traditional ice carving, horse-drawn carriage rides, sponsored by First National Bank, food and fireworks. In addition, expect a line up of entertainment on two stages placed at Broad and Thorn streets and at Beaver and Chestnut streets.
