The Pine-Richland singing sensation is among the artists with the most expensive concert tickets ever sold.

Pine-Richland singing sensation Jackie Evancho has something in common with international stars Celine Dion, Elton John and Shania Twain besides a sensational singing voice.    The 12-year-old soprano prodigy is featured among the best-selling artists with the most expensive concert tickets ever sold, according to therichest.com. Only the average price of the tickets was considered. Concerts that feature various artists were not listed. After sold out concerts in New York City with an average ticket price of $624, Jackie, the only pre-teen on the roster, is at no. 5 on the list, beating out veteran performers Twain, Dion and John. Jackie Evancho's Pittsburgh Concert Nearly Sold Out

The 12-year-old will perform at Heinz Hall in March.

No big surprise here—Jackie Evancho's concert in Pittsburgh is nearly sold out. The 12-year-old songstress from Pine-Richland will perform with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, at Heinz Hall. Very few tickets are left—and they are in the back of the hall. To order tickets for the Pittsburgh concert, click here.  Jackie performed Friday night in Boston at the Citi Performing Arts Center—Wang Theatre. After the show, she tweeted: "Thank you Boston for being such a great audience!"  She is scheduled to perform Feb. 16 at Revel Ovation Hall in Revel Beach, NJ.

Quaker Valley Grad Stars in 'Flashdance The Musical'

The hit musical runs through Sunday at Heinz Hall.

A Sewickley native and Quaker Valley High School graduate is starring in the world premiere of Flashdance The Musical, according to WPXI. Matthew Hydzik has been in several Broadway shows and Broadways tours, but told WPXI he never had a connection to a show like he has with Flashdance, a musical about female welder Alex Owens striving to become a professional dancer. "It's surreal doing this project back home," Hydzik told WPXI. "I had my family, my in-laws, my wife and my teachers in the audience (Thursday). The musical, just like the 1983 box office hit, is set in Pittsburgh. Hydzik plays Nick Hurley, the owner of a steel mill. Hydzik's father, grandfather and even grandmother also worked in Pittsburgh steel mills. The musical features …
