Democratic incumbent Robert Matzie and Republican challenger Kathleen Coder both offer reasons for claiming to be the best choice to serve residents of the 16th House District. Kathleen Coder, 53, of Bellevue, served four years as Bellevue Council president. She is also the founder of Inta-Great, a company that serves as a catalyst for leadership development among private companies, churches, nonprofit organizations and schools. Bellevue resident Kathleen Coder defeated Jeremy Angus Tuesday for the Republican nomination in the race for the 16th Legislative District of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. She will face Democratic State Rep. Rob Matzie, D-Ambridge, who ran unchallenged on the Democratic primary ballot. Matzie received 2,858 votes, according to unofficial results. Coder said running the campaign was a lot of work and that she is proud of the results. She congratulated Angus on a job well done. "Jeremy did a great job, and I just feel like we did a good job representing the Republican Party. With all the negative campaigns going on, we both ran a clean campaign and respected each other.
