Police Nab Coraopolis Man Suspected in Sewickley Business Thefts

David Jablonsky, 24, is accused of stealing more than $1,000 from downtown businesses.

A Coraopolis man accused of distracting merchants and stealing more than $1,000 from several Sewickley businesses was arraigned Friday night on two felony counts of burglary.  David Jablonsky, 24, is also charged with two felony counts of trespass and two misdemeanor counts of theft. Sewickley Police Chief James Ersher said Jablonsky was picked up Thursday in Economy, Beaver County, for another burglary attempt. A woman returned home to find Jablonsky inside her home ransacking the place, police said. Sewickley Police Sgt. Dave Mazza said Jablonsky ran from the residence, but the homeowner recognized him as the person living in an apartment next door.
