Get Ready for a Rockin' Barktoberfest

Larry’s Laundromutt joins with the Western PA Humane Society for a festival of beer, food, dog washes, live music and prizes.

Get ready for the second annual Barktoberfest, a Benefit for the Western Pennsylvania Humane Society. The event returns this Friday, Oct. 7, to Larry’s Laundromutt on Route 65. Jeannie Barrett, owner of Larry and his Laundromutt, said the idea for an October festival for canines and their owners was spurred from another pet-friendly event. “It’s an outgrowth of our Wash & Wine event, which we have about every other month with the Humane Society, but it’s Barktoberfest so we have to have beer instead of wine,” Barrett said.
