The lakefront house is in the Lake MacLeod neighborhood.
If you're imagining a dream home while visions of Italy dance in your head, look no farther than the Lake MacLeod neighborhood in Wexford (Pine Township.) That is where you'll find the Tuscan-styled home that Pittsburgh Magazine has dubbed its 2013 Home of the Year for new construction. "This four-story, 8,000-square-foot home has Tuscan details throughout—arched doorways, marble inlays, an octagonal rotunda that runs through all four levels and two outdoor living areas—one an open-air balcony and the other a covered loggia with tile floor stone fireplace and view of the lake. A little taste of Italy in the ‘burbs—only in the 'Burgh," the article says. Click here to link to the Pittsburgh Magazine story in its March 2013 issue. The …

Customers can order groceries online and pick them up at the curb.
Imagine pulling up to the curb in front of Pine Market District and having your groceries loaded into your car—even though you never set foot in the Wexford store to actually shop for them. All a customer has to do is order groceries online at MarketDistrict.com/Curbside and then pick them up at the front of the store at pre-determined time and date. The service was launched at the Robinson Market District in April 2012, and Robinson Township store team members have processed hundreds of orders to date. Market District team members act as personal shoppers and select the items on the grocery list and bring them to the store’s dedicated outside Curbside Express Pick-Up vehicle lane on the selected date and time. Customers are able to pay …

We hope to become the location of the first ethane processing plant ever built in the northeast United States and this is all developing alongside a growing bio-medical and high technology sector …

This fabulous restaurant and lounge in Wexford is no dive.
Overview: The Dive Bar & Grille in the Pine Tree Shoppes off Perry Highway in Wexford is almost invisible, which is a shame because its menu and atmosphere scream, "Notice me!" The menu is extensive, and the food is interesting, well-prepared, and reasonably priced. The Dive is open from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Monday through Sunday. It has a terrific seven-day-a-week happy hour, with food and drink specials. Frequent diners enjoy 10 percent off with the "Very Important Regular" card. Décor: The interior reflects the great-room concept. The bar, eating area by the bar, and restaurant area are open to each other. The big fireplace has a large couch in front of it. Along the perimeter are comfy banquette-style booths and a couple of cozy, …

The annual event raises thousands for the Pine Township park.
Instead of conducting business on Aug. 15, Pine Township supervisors will likely be giving each other “the business” at the 12th annual Friends of Pine Community Park 2011 Golf Classic. “The profits go to the Friends of Pine Park,” said Supervisor Edward Holdcroft. “It does well. It’s a first-class event.” Pine Parks and Recreation Director Joni Patsko estimates the outing, held at the Sewickley Heights Golf Club, raises on average $20,000 a year. ESB Bank is the presenting sponsor, providing prizes for the estimated 80 to 90 golfers who pay $250 apiece to play. Sewickley Heights is a private course that is consistently ranked among the state’s finest. In addition to raising money, the outing is the source of some good-natured ribbing …
