Police Blotter: Authorities Investigate Possible Sexual Assault

Sewickley police said the alleged rape occurred earlier this month.

Police received a report Feb. 11 of a sexual assault involving a teen who was raped by an 18-year-old man. Police were told the alleged assault occurred Feb. 9 at a bonfire somewhere in Sewickley. The matter has been turned over to Allegheny County Police detectives. Charges have not been filed.   Sewickley police also responded to the following incidents. Each incident reflects police records and is not an indication of guilt: Wallet theft report  Police were called at 5:15 p.m. Feb. 16 to the Sewickley Valley YMCA to take a theft report. Police said someone stole a bright orange wallet containing $80, a $25 gift card and an OLSH student identification card.   Crash report Police were called Feb. 14 to the intersection of Boundary Street …

Police Blotter: Trespassing, a Scam and Suspicious Vehicle Reports

Sewickley police responded to the following incidents. Each incident reflects police records and is not an indication of guilt.

Sewickley Police responded recently to Cochran Street for a report of three males exiting a red Volvo and walking into the woods with pipes, possibly for drug activity. Police said the descriptions matched those involved in a recent home burglary at a nearby residence. Officers arrived at 4 p.m. Nov. 8 and recognized the car as belonging to Nick Skoski. The vehicle was parked just beyond a Nevin residence.  Police said Skoski, 19, of Leet, Maurice Haley, 18, of Ambridge, and John Berger, 19, of Leet, were also seen in the woods behind a residence. Police ordered the three to approach and took them into custody on trespass charges. During a search, police found Skoski with marijuana and rolling papers. Police also said Berger had a glass …
