Police Blotter: Authorities Investigate Possible Sexual Assault
Sewickley police said the alleged rape occurred earlier this month.
Police received a report Feb. 11 of a sexual assault involving a teen who was raped by an 18-year-old man. Police were told the alleged assault occurred Feb. 9 at a bonfire somewhere in Sewickley. The matter has been turned over to Allegheny County Police detectives. Charges have not been filed. Sewickley police also responded to the following incidents. Each incident reflects police records and is not an indication of guilt: Wallet theft report Police were called at 5:15 p.m. Feb. 16 to the Sewickley Valley YMCA to take a theft report. Police said someone stole a bright orange wallet containing $80, a $25 gift card and an OLSH student identification card.
