Quaker Valley Hockey Falls Short in State Championship

The team rallied hard, but lost 6-5 in the Pennsylvania Cup final against West Chester East.

Quaker Valley fought hard, but lost 6-5 Saturday to West Chester East in the Class A Pennsylvania Cup final, according to Champs Sports Network. The teams played at the Ice Works Arena in Ashton, PA. The Quakers rallied hard in the third period. The Tribune Review reports that East led, 6-2, with 9:47 remaining in the game, but Quaker Valley got power-play goals to cut the lead in half. QV was looking to clinch its second consecutive state championship title, but still finished a commendable season at 25-1-0.

Quaker Valley Ice Hockey: Quakers Advance to Penguins Cup Finals

The championship game is Wednesday at Consol Energy Center.

For the second year in a row, the Quaker Valley Varsity Hockey Team will take on the Mars Planets in the Class A Penguins Cup Finals at the Consol Energy Center. The puck drops at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20. The Quakers earned their berth in the finals by defeating Kittaning 5-2. Quaker Valley Hockey Team Advances to Penguins Cup Championship

The matchup against Mars will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday in Consol Energy Center.

Quaker Valley High School hockey team will compete Saturday in the PIHL Class A Penguins Cup Championship Series finals. The state championship game against Mars will begin at 1 p.m. in Consol Energy Center.  The Quakers advanced after defeating Kittanning, 7-1, in Monday's home championship series matchup at RMU's Island Sports Center on Neville Island. The No. 1 seed team is going for its second state championship. The cowbells will be ringing.

Cheer on QV Hockey Tonight

Quaker Valley Hockey team will compete against Kittanning at 6 p.m. tonight in their run for the Penguin Cup. The PIHL Class A Semifinals Playoff Game takes place at the Robert Morris University Island Sports Center. The winner of Monday's championship series matchup will advance to the finals on Saturday at Consol Energy Center. The #1 seed team is going for their second state championship.

Quaker Valley Hockey to Compete Monday at Airport Arena

Quaker Valley Hockey Senior Night is also Monday, when the team takes on South Park.

Come watch Quaker Valley Varsity Hockey finish first in the regular season Monday when they play South Park to secure a first place seed in the playoffs.
