A final "Flight Night" is planned for Wednesday, June 27.
After three and a half years in the Sewickley village, The Naked Grape Enoteca will close its doors at the end of the month. Owner Ryta Mirisciotti-Jungling said the last official day is June 30. The Enoteca will be open to the public until then and only open to host a few private events in July to which they are committed. “We’re sad to leave, I have to say,” she told Patch, adding that they aren't planning to go far. Ryta and her husband David Jungling plan to take the Tuscan-style escape to the virtual world once the physical location at 515 Broad St. is closed. “We will maintain our website,” Ryta Mirisciotti-Jungling said. In fact, they plan to continue operating, as most importers do, by pursuing sales to restaurants, providing wine …

The owner of Pink & Blue, a children's clothing and accessories store, plans to close by the end of the month.
Kelsey Rhea spent the past year operating Pink & Blue in Sewickley. The owner said Thursday that the children's clothing boutique at the corner of Beaver and Broad streets is now slated to close. The boutique is currently offering a sale on all merchandise in the store. Rhea said purchases of $50 or more will receive an additional 30 percent off. Rhea said going from a stay-at-home mom to a full-time business owner has been tough. Now that she's coming up on a year, she felt now was the right time. She plans to close by the end of the month. Rhea, a Sewickley resident, said she's planning to work elsewhere part-time and, most importantly, spend more time with her daughter. Keeping up with news in the Sewickley Patch is easy—simply sign …

Owners of Lucky Ink in Sewickley thank customers for their support.
The owners of Sewickley’s first body art shop have decided to call it quits. Dawn Cosnotti Morris, owner of Lucky Ink, said the shop at 422 Broad St. closed last week after she and her husband Carl felt family was a higher priority. “The bottom line is we were so very busy that something had to give and family is simply most important to us,” she said. The body art shop and boutique opened in March, offering an eclectic collection of gift items, jewelry, clothing, candles and more in the front, and a separate section for tattoos by appointment in the back. Morris said the shop was constantly busy. Despite having help, she often found herself spending more time at the boutique while losing quality time her son, Lucky, for whom the shop is …

The Greek restaurant in Sewickley plans to continue serving food through the catering business.
Little Athens of Sewickley has been a staple in the village for more than a dozen years. On Tuesday, the Greek restaurant will close, but not before saying a special farewell to loyal customers with a going-away celebration of sorts. Manager Evyennia Kontoulis said the restaurant would open at 4 p.m. Tuesday and would offer $3 sandwiches and specials at the bar. Hot sausage, burgers and hot dogs fresh from the grill also will be served. “It’s supposed to be nice out, so my dad’s going to be grilling outside,” she said. Around 8 p.m., DJ Dick will begin spinning tunes. The restaurant at 518 Locust Place will close its doors at 2 a.m. At the age of 19, Kontoulis last summer took over the restaurant from her parents, Lori and Vasilis …

The cafe known for its healthy menu is back in business, though technically the Sewickley store never really closed.
A local cafe offering healthy drinks and eats is open for business after an announcement came last week that the shop would close. Former manager and co-owner Justin Morris told Patch on Friday that MixStirs Cafe was going out of business due to a lack of overall business and that Saturday would be the last day. A new sign outside the Beaver Street business says otherwise. Brandon Diewald, manager of MixStirs, said the store is now under new management and is not closing, though he said the business did have to close early on Saturday because it ran out of supplies. So what’s changed? Diewald said the store’s partners who previous had a 25 percent share in the company have now taken over full ownership, a decision that was made on …
