Police Seize Sword From Leetsdale Man Accused of Assault

A Leetsdale man accused of hitting a woman in the face waived the charges to Allegheny County Court. David Eiler, 30, of Broad Street, recently appeared in Leetsdale District Court on charges of simple assault, harassment and recklessly endangering another person.  According to Leetsdale police, Eiler argued with a woman on Nov. 26 before striking her in the face. Police said the woman was bleeding from her face and hand, and was transported by Valley Ambulance to Heritage Valley Sewickley Hospital. Officers checked the home for Eiler, but he fled, police said. Police seized a sword belonging to Eiler, who is prohibited from possessing a weapon due to an active protection-from-abuse order on another person. Several Charges Dismissed Against Azul Restaurant Owner

Angus Peterkin of Leet Township, accused of punching a former employee in the face, is still facing one count of simple assault.

A single simple assault charge was held for court Tuesday in the case of a Leetsdale restaurant owner accused of punching a former employee in the face and grabbing his neck. Two counts of aggravated assault and a charge of reckless endangerment were withdrawn against Angus K. Peterkin, 55, of Buhlmont Drive prior to the preliminary hearing in Leetsdale District Court. Allegheny County Assistant District Attorney Robert Heister amended the assault charges filed Oct. 1 to a single count of simple assault. In addition, Peterkin also faced one count of providing false reports to law enforcement, but Judge Robert Ford later dismissed that charge. QV Senior Already Facing Drug Offenses Charged Again

Leetsdale police said Jamal Gloster, 18, and Myles Graham, 20, of Leetsdale, fought last week in Henle Park.

A Quaker Valley High School senior already facing drug charges and a Leetsdale man were both arrested last week after a fist fight broke out between the two in Henle Park. Leetsdale police filed charges today against Jamal A. Gloster, 18, of Nevin Avenue, Sewickley, and Myles Graham, 20, of Ohio River Boulevard, Leetsdale. Both are charged with simple assault and harassment. According to a criminal complaint, police were called to in Henle Park shortly after 4:30 p.m. Thursday, May 17, for a report of a fight between two males near the upper pavilion. Police said Gloster and Graham were going their separate ways when officers arrived. District Court: Drunken Driving and Drug Arrests

A Sewickley man accused of driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident waived the charges to court last week. Sewickley police said Zachary Seman, 21, of Beaver Street, struck a parked car March 7 on Walnut Street and drove away. Seman told officers he left because he didn’t have insurance. He was taken to Heritage Valley Sewickley Hospital for a blood test, police said. A separate hearing for Seman stemming from an April 13 incident is rescheduled for Tuesday. Seman is accused of endangering the welfare of children, simple assault and harassment. Police said he threw his wife down the stairs and threatened to harm her and their infant son. He is released on $1,000 bond. The following people were charged and scheduled …

Road Rage Driver Hugs it Out with Victim, Agrees to Anger Management Classes

A Beaver County man charged with punching and choking a Coraopolis man in a road rage incident agreed Tuesday to take anger management classes. An apologetic David Colaizzi, 41, of Independence Township, Beaver County, hugged Robert Hagen, 56 of Coraopolis, and told him he was sorry about the incident during a preliminary hearing Tuesday before Magisterial District Judge Robert Ford in Leetsdale. Colaizzi and his attorney, James M. Ecker of Pittsburgh, appeared in court to answer charges from the Nov. 25 incident near the Sewickley Bridge.  He faced charges of simple assault, disorderly conduct, reckless driving and harassment. Magisterial District Judge Robert Ford agreed to drop the charges if Colaizzi completes an anger management …
