What would you like to see in the former Sewickley Country Inn location?
Film star Tom Cruise's movie shoot for the action film "One Shot" is some of the biggest action the Sewickley County Inn has seen in awhile. MCM Ventures Ltd proposed razing the Country Inn, which sits on a four-acre site, and replacing the former hotel and restaurant with two office buildings along the Route 65 portion, and 14 single-family homes along the Thorn Street side. But the deteriorating property along busy Ohio River Boulevard (Route 65) in Sewickley has remained tied up in litigation since 2009 over a zoning variance. Both sides are awaiting a Commonwealth Court ruling from a panel of three judges. The Country Inn was a fixture in the community for about 50 years, serving as a hotel, restaurant and bar, and banquet facility. …

A small hotel would be great, when we have family from out of the area they end up staying in Cranberry.   more ›
